The Bmw diagnostic head emulator V12 allows you to use the vehicle's data link with your electronic device to diagnose issues with the car. The system is compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows. There are no subscriptions or limitations on time you can use the diagnostic tool. All of the software is available for download on bmwdroidapps.com and bmwtechsupport.com . All of the software is free to download and install. The latest version I'm using is V12. That was the one I downloaded when it first came out, and it works perfectly fine. It doesn't even require you to create an account (unlike what some other sites said)! The system builds off of a two-way link between your phone and the car's ECU (Engine Control Unit). Through that connection, you can gain access to information about your car beyond just basic info like current oil pressure, coolant temperature, etc. You will be able to get data from sensors inside the vehicle such as airbags and seat belt pretensioners. This can help to diagnose issues with the car. The screen on the device will show messages based on your sensor values. So far, I have only used the system to diagnose a stripped ECU connector, but it has worked flawlessly to provide me with data about my sensor values. To diagnose that issue, I simply followed the instructions found across various websites for using this tool. As stated above, all of the software is available for free download on this website: bmwdroidapps.com . Along with the software, there are plenty of videos available through this website that will teach you step by step how to set up, use, and diagnose your vehicle with this tool. The links for the videos are listed below: NOTE: The tool V12 (the one I personally found to work the best) has been discontinued by BMW USA. But there is a newer version of it called "BMW Diagnostic Tool V13" which works the same way but is only compatible with Android devices. You can download that version here: bmwtechsupport.com (there's also a video tutorial on how to use it here): http://www3.bmw-tech-support. com/bmw-diags.html You can also get the tool V11 here: http://www3.bmw-tech-support.com/bmw_diagnostic_tools_download_page.htmlNOTE: The cars that this tool is designed to work on are: 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, and X1 and X3 Series. Generally speaking if your car is an E or F series it can be unlocked using the unlock cable (Pinnacle Auto Key). The 7 series cannot be unlocked using the unlock cable (Pinnacle Auto Key) but they can be unlocked using a service called "keyless entry". cfa1e77820
